Personal Energy Debt DEBT – Get Free!
Getting out of personal energy ‘debt” is really getting out of the DET – the Downward Energy Trend
To resolve being “unnaturally tired”, learn what Personal Energy Debt is so you can begin to restore your energy. Personal energy debt is what happens when we fail to replenish the vital energy that makes health and success sustainable.
Being in personal energy debt feels a lot like being naturally tired but with a few very important differences. When you’re in personal energy debt, your efforts to get the sleep, rest or to recuperate – even if you have a great diet and exercise plan in place – aren’t paying off for you in terms of increasing your energy. You still don’t wake up refreshed.
The experience is different for everyone. You may get exhausted very easily. You may feel like you just don’t have anything left to give to anyone or to put into your work. If one thing happens in your day that is unexpected, you don’t have the energy to deal with it. Everything you are asked to do – even if it’s to enjoy the company of friends – feels like it’s just one more thing you don’t have the energy to do. You may notice that you’re more irritable and sometimes you may feel more hopeless than you even did before.
The term Personal Energy DEBT is a state that the body goes into after energy from stimulation has dissipated, often for long periods of time as is the case with chronic fatigue. It is a low energy state experienced initially as exhaustion but it graduates to fatigue after significant periods of vital energy expenditure without enough energy recuperation or “regeneration”. Often brought about by extreme mental focus and cognitive engagement, it is exacerbated by eating refined sugar or drinking stimulants like coffee to gain energy in the short term, Personal Energy DEBT is a state of fatigue.
For long-term health and vitality, we need to understand the difference between the two types of energy: one obtained from vital (electrical) energy, the other from food (nourishment. As a general rule, the more refined the food is, the more stimulating its effect will be on the nervous system, (due to toxicity) and the less nourishing. In contrast, the more natural and whole a food is — raw and sprouted being the best — the less stimulating and the more nourishing it will be. Because of our insatiable desire for quick, convenient energy “on the go,” our streets are crammed with coffee, donut, and fast food establishments. This solves the convenience problem and offers a short-term energy “boost” through stimulation. However, it does nothing to help with the DEbT to be inevitably paid by the body if this route is taken regularly. The body can subsist on stimulating, nutrient poor food only so long before becoming either exhausted or sick –and where the body goes, the mind is sure to follow.
In the afternoon, lunch has started to wear off, and hunger and fatigue is creeping in not because you are hungry but because you are spent. Reaching for either a cup of coffee, a snack high in refined carbohydrates, or both is common as we think that energy comes from food. It does, but calories from food are not what people are lacking, they are lacking enough recuperation. Coffee and refined carbohydrates give a short energy boost but stress the body. Energy needs to be recuperated, to build reserves, it is stimulated or “boosted” when it is being spent.
Refined foods such as coffer also raises cortisol levels, which lowers the immune system, making the body more vulnerable to infection and eventually leading to the storage of body fat. This is true of any stimulant if it is engaged in long enough. Refined carbohydrates cause an insulin spike that will elevate cortisol levels. Excessive consumption of coffee and refined carbohydrates will also result in inflammation, a key cause of premature aging.
Many of us are in a constant state of Personal Energy DEBT. Simply put, it is a huge contributing factor to overall stress and therefore has become a major promoter of fatigue, the overweight condition and health complications, in general. If untreated, it can lead to serious diseases.
